Self Assessment

In it's more recent state, I think our music video is worth 10/40 which is an improvement from my last self assessment however, still needs a lot more work. We were very pushed for time in order to prepare for our second screening, and when we were editing we found footage that we are unable to use as the white background setting was too small for the long shot in which we wanted to achieve so people are to be seen moving around in the background. This was annoying as other than that, the footage would have been almost perfect. The re-brand has been successful and we are now clear on the look we want to go for.

Ancillary task one, the magazine poster, I would give my groups first version 4/10 as it is at a basic level but also has some strengths and is starting to come together nicely. However, it is unfinished and is yet to feature the digi-pak. It also needs to link to the digi-pak more.

Ancillary task two, the digi-pak, I would give my groups current version 2/10, it is starting to become a formation however, needs to be finished and produced at a high quality level.

We Are Going To... Re-Brand!

Looking back at our performance video, I think we need to re-brand and make it a solo performance but with the same routine and same effect we were trying to put across, although we will change the location itself as I don't feel as if it's working as well as we would like it to, the setting and overall idea of the location will remain the same. Cutting down to one performer will also make it easier for us to arrange both film and photo-shoots. It would also make it feel like our production which could give a positive impact on the outcome as everything will appear a lot more natural. We will think of a brand new name, image and narrative, although the concept will remain the same as that is what we feel the song is trying to portray, just that will be harder to achieve with the one performer. Overall, I think that this is the best decision to be made and that it will prompt us to improve, giving us the best possible outcome.
